I haven't dug into XHTML, so I may be way off base here. But, to my
knowledge, the border attribute is a valid HTML attribute and should
also be valid for XHTML. If I'm right, why would it not validate if the
value is quoted?
If you find the mouseover script you describe below, please post it
here. I've been struggling with that one for a while. Given how
widespread mouseovers are, it seems like it would have been a natural to
add the name attribute to the IMG element in the HTML specs. After all,
HTML 4.01 was introduced to correct oversights in the HTML 4.0 spec,
mostly with respect to images.
