Agreed.

They can put in all the proprietary features they want... as long as they
fully support established standards.

They web community can flourish and they can compete with each other all
they want with all the extra stuff.

I've been really down on NN4.x lately. We've  had a devil of a time with it
at work and there was even (business-side) talk of indirectly discouraing NN
and while encouraging (and maybe Opera). We DIDN'T want to. I guess that's
what MS wants and NN didn't seem to be fighting.

We (all of us separately, apparently) took a good look at the latest NN6
download. It's still buggy, but it competes nicely with IE where xml, css,
and JavaScript is concerned. It has made us al feel (morally) better anyway,
even with the crashes.

Any idea when the final is due?
