Photoshop is indeed a fine piece of software if you can stand the learning 
curve. When Fuzzy says he's been learning it for years, I can quite believe 
it.

I've been using PhotoImpact for nearly five years now and it will do pretty 
much everything that PS will do in half the time, it's much more user 
friendly and waaaaaaaay cheaper.  PS filters and plugins work with it and 
PSP tubes can be imported can be used if that's what floats your boat.

There's a trial download of the latest version 7.0 just released available 
at www.ulead.com but the previous version is perfectly fine for the 
beginner and is going real cheap at most stores and on the Ulead site right 
now.

Noooooo, I don't work for Ulead...I wish I did LOL...it's just a *fabulous* 
program and when I've had folks look at my work and comment on how great PS 
is, I think that kinda says it all :)
