Howdy all! ;-)

Let's get this list rolling again - K?

There was a very interesting discussion on Techniques last week about how
ISPs are slowing down email when coming from one source in multiple
quantities pretty much bundling any mass email into the spam
category. Here is a link to one of the posts in the HWG's archives....

I thought this would be a great topic for the Biz list..... What are you
folks experiencing, if anything and how are you advising your clients in
regard to their mailings? I've given each of my clients a list of how not
to be mistaken for Spam in regards to words used, subject titles and
Netiquette, etc.

However, if ISPs are in fact not allowing x-amount of emails from one IP at
any one time throwing us all in the same bucket with spammers what are
legitimate newsletters and ezines etc. to do to avoid this?

I would love to hear your experiences on doing legitimate mailings such as
newsletters, if you've run into this type of issue and what if anything
you've been able to do to minimize any problems associated with being
clumped with spammers. I have one client in particular that due to the
size of his legitimate monthly email notice has been identified by AOL as a
spammer and therefore all his messages bounce back with a notice to that
effect. Isn't that ironic!? ;-)

Also would love your recommendations on email newsletter services, such as
ConstantContact.com and GotMarketing.com if you have experience with them.
As usual, no $$ need be mentioned, I am more interested in reliability and
functionality. If you have nothing positive to say about the above
companies or others to stay away from, please advise ONLY off-list.

TIA! Look forward to hearing from you all and warming up the list! ;-)
