Hi

I had a look at your site with this:

Win95 and MSIE4
600x800 and 640x480 res with 16-bit colour
with a 28.8 bps dialup from New Zealand

This is what I noticed:

*The '17 Wing Winnipeg' on the bar/logo on the first page could be bigger
and anti-aliased, and maybe to the right to balance the logo thingy
(whatever its called) on the left.

*Neither of the navigation select's worked as the JavaScript behind the form
didn't work. Ask on hwg-languages for help on that, or check out the Guilds
link page http://www.hwg.org/resources/useful.html for sites with tutorials
and examples.

*The BODY bgcolor is lightblue, better to change to its hex, about #99CCFF.

*There is no doctype declaration. I suggest the HTML4 transitional dtd:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"

Just put it above the <HTML> tag, at the very top of the file.

*The English/French change icon is nice and clear. On the French site (on
the first page), the news item is still in English.

*I like the paperboy pic :)

*Many or all of your images lack the ALT tag. It is good to include it.

*The news item page has a different background. I suggest the lightblue, and
keep it the same throughout the site.

*In 640x480 resolution, there is horizontal scrolling. This is caused by the
top logo bar being too long. Otherwise I think it looks a little better in
640x480, it isn't so empty.

*I would put some kind of introduction on the first page - so a surfer knows
what their looking at.

*The http://www.achq.dnd.ca/cfsas url returned a server error.

*cfsmet.htm is again a different style. I found the background a little
distracting. Although http://www.cfans.com. was again a different style, the
background wasn't so distracting.

*I didn't try the rest, but I would suggest making all the backgrounds and
styles the same - or at least some very distinctive aspect the same - such
as a sidebar.

*Everything loaded very quickly

Otherwise...a good effort :)

Cheers

Sebastian
