RE: Critique, please

Thanks to many of you for your very helpful, prompt suggestions (and on such a horrifically sad day)!

I haven't gotten rid of the "goofy" graphics or the black background on the left side, because these were part of the initial design.

But I've fixed the annoying body tag and set the color of the righthand panel back to white.  The solution was to NOT write the BAD body tag, add topmargin and leftmargin attributes to the body tags and make the table heights and widths = 100%.  <.body topmargin="0" leftmargin="0">

I'm still very open to suggestions. Again, please email them directly to me as I might not see a digest for weeks.
