I must be fuddle-brained: Photo effects in Paint Shop Pro?

OK, here's a bone question.

Suffering as I am from a cold that's leaving me befuddled of brain, I'm taking time out to try to figure out how to get
a certain effect from a photo in Paint Shop Pro v7.

Here's the gist of it. I have a photo that I want to turn into a greyscale, but not a greyscale. Instead of the normal
black/white shades, I want to turn it into, say, blue/white, or even green/white shades, for example.

Now, I _think_ I need to mess about with masks, but for the life of me, can't figure it out. I'm sure it's dead easy,
but there you are: One head cold, and the grey matter goes out the window. Anyone give me pointers, please?

Thanks in advance. Please note, I'm on the digest version, so replies may be a little while in coming!

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
