Regarding saving in lower case with PSP:

Sorry, my earlier message slipped out before it was ready for prime time. 

You all are right - I don't see any way to easily change the case when
saving the file. 
 
I have PSP version 4.12 and Windows 95 and it does save in lower case. If
my memory is correct it was an option at the time of set up.  

I have written technical support at PSP to find out how I managed to do
this and if it can be changed after installation.  I'll post to the list if
I get an answer.
