OK, I feel stupid asking about 'one of the easiest things to do' when there
are heaps of web pages about it, but i've been to most of them, and they
don't work for me.

i'm trying to make a drop shadow of multiple elements, which are very
difficult to select, which are colour, and retain their colour, having a
grey shadow behind, in photoshop 4. hundreds of people have done this, but
every time I try, and every way, I lose the colour in the foreground - goes
black.

the image type i'm working with is at
http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~jits/test.gif. basically i want to drop shadow
the text and the line, and still retain the colour.

if anyone can point me to a tutorial/web page which works, or list how they
would do it in photoshop 4, you'll end my foolish frustration.

ta,

Kyle
