Hi Henry,

I think what you want is a gradient fill for your buttons.  This will 
create that light on two edges and give you a 3D effect.  You can do this 
in any drawing program. In CorelDraw9 select you object, go to the paint 
bucket (fill tool) and choose the gradient fill icon - it's black & 
white.  You can then select your first and second colors and the type of 
fill you want (linear, etc).  Position your paint bucket at the edge of 
where you want the highlight to be.
