Seconding Jeff's info, another way to slice in Photoshop is to lay out your
guides, snap the marquee selection to the desired guides, and copy. You can
then CMD/CTRL-N to make a new file and it will be automatically sized to
the contents of the clipboard. Paste, and go back to the main document to
make the next slice.

(ImageStyler doesn't really have a way to control slices, although you can
create invisible objects to guide its autoslicing... I believe Dan Gray's
book would have info on this subject.)

Although the above manual method takes some time, it has an advantage over
ImageReady or Dicer in that you can merge table cells together for more
efficient downloads. It also lets you apply custom compression to each
slice, for smaller overall file size.

(All of this is much faster and easier to edit in Fireworks, though... if
you're going to GoLive you can even create multibutton rollovers that write
HTML in GoLive's preferred style. If you're just doing some slicing here
and there then any method would do, but if you do this type of work
regularly then some paths are more efficient and fun than others.)
