Under the direction of the Promotions Manager, the Promotions Specialist 
will be responsible for assisting in the development of all customer 
promotions to include increasing the visitalk.com site usage, up-selling 
premium and personal services, encouraging e-commerce, ensuring member 
satisfaction, and implementing other database - driven campaigns.

The major responsibilities of this position will include assisting the 
Promotions Manager in planning, implementing and maintaining visitalk.com 
marketing promotions. This Promotions Specialist will administer referral 
and affiliate promotions, member-get-member promotions, and will assist in 
penetrating communities and vertical markets in order to increase 
visitalk.com membership.

Will interface with third party Marketing agencies and assist in conducting 
research to validate programs. Will assist in conducting surveys; 
coordinate surveys with third party marketing agencies, track and analyzing 
survey responses.

The minimum requirements for this position are:

* 2 years experience in Marketing
* 1+ year experience working within a high-tech environment
* On-line promotions experience is required.
* Excellent knowledge of the Internet including communities and on-line 
referral programs and computer industries is necessary.
We preferred this additional experience:
* 1+ year(s) dot.com experience is strongly preferred.
* Viral Internet Marketing and product promotions experience is a plus.
* International experience is a plus.
* Should have experience working with third party agencies i.e. Fulfillment 
houses.
* Association or membership club marketing experience is a plus

The required skills are:
* Must be proficient in MS Office Suite of products and the Internet.
* Ability to multi-task, be highly organized and detailed.
* Independent and self-starter.
* Strong writing and editing skills.

Edcation:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, 
Computer Science or Engineering or the equivalent is required.
Travel: 20% worldwide.
