LOCATION: telecommute/virtual. Will consider local as well as global
talent.

SKILLS:
-- CGI Programming using Perl (OO with both public and in-house modules)
-- HTML validated to 4.01 (Ability to hand code when necessary)
-- Web Graphics (we use Fireworks and PSP)
-- Understanding of *basic* XML (Our script configuration files are often in
simple XML)

BACKGROUND:
The Web Center, Inc. is a Web Development Shop located in Rochester, NY, US.

We specialize in new site development and CGI Programming using Open
Source-based solutions for both retail and B2B subcontracting clients.
Recent expansions have created the opportunity for a relationship with the
right freelancer. We are looking for someone who knows HTML and Perl, and
can write fluently in both.

We are picky about our code. We often pass by a chance to make a quick buck
because it would require compromising our own standards. As a rule, we
provide integrated custom solutions using in-house tools.

OPPORTUNITY:
Basically, someone who can pitch in and help us when we get behind. We
aren't offering a specific contract so much as an opportunity to establish a
relationship. We'd rather work repeatedly with the same person than use a
general posting approach for every new need.
