Hi,

I saw an article somewhere, I think wideopen.com, that Borland is bringing
out its IDE to Linux, better wait.

Subject: Development environment for Unix

| I'm looking for development software for Unix (specifically, Linux) that
| is comparable to Visual Studio or Codewright. I'd like to use Linux as
| my primary desktop development machine, but just can't seem to find the
| development tools to make this switch feasible. I certainly don't insist
| that these be free or Open Source tools. I just need something that
| works.
|
| Requirements:
| Code syntax highlighting in (at least) Perl, HTML, JavaScript, Java, C
| Multiple files at one time
| Multi-file search and replace features
| User-definable macros and shortcuts
| Built-in FTP would be handy, but is not required
| Integration with CVS would be nice, but is not required
|
| Thanks for any pointers you can offer.
