It's just URL-encoding it. It doesn't take away from the fact that you're
still looking at HTML...it's just not as easy on the human eye. And because
it's rendered using JavaScript, anyone with security settings above "Medium"
will get a blank page.

I really don't understand why people try to hide HTML code. It can't be
done and, IMHO, shouldn't be done. Every couple of months this subject
creeps up and every time I see these methods of trying to ineffectively hide
code I get discouraged about the future of web development. Does anyone
remember the early-to-mid 90's, when you learned HTML by viewing the source?
Well, that's how most of the future markup writers will learn and I'd
venture to say that 95% of current web developers out there learned HTML by
way of example.

To me, hiding HTML code on your own site when you yourself learned that way
is like your grandmother handing you her secret recipe for apple pie with
the hope that you'll in turn pass it down to the next generation. Instead,
you rip the recipe to pieces.

And if your client specifically demands the HTML be hidden, you can tell him
to get stuffed because it's just not possible. As long as I have a site's
address I can get their code no matter what you try to do to stop me.

Mike
