I haven't moved to XHTML yet myself but have you tried adding vspace=3D"0"=
=20
and hspace=3D"0" to the image tags?  Maybe NN 6 adds some default space.  My=
=20
site looks fine in NN6 and I have added those attributes to all my image=20
tags in tables.  I use the HTML 4.01 Transitional DTD though.
