Hi Group,
As this is off topic, can you either point me to a different list or reply
directly to me please.
How does one decide how much to charge a client? I just lost my first ever
client cause he wasn't prepared to pay what I had quoted for a site. Is
there a set formula? The site was to have run to about 6 pages, with photos
and text provided by the client, and I had to optimise all the images, design
the web graphics and build the site. Hosting was to be on his free webspace.
I offered him this for 75 - 100 UKP ($100 - 160) which he felt was not
acceptable. Question I am asking is: Did I overcharge, or was he not
prepared to pay? What should I expect to charge? I am rather confused by
this whole business, as this is the first time I've actually charged for my
skills.
Hope someone can set me right!
TIA
