That's exactly what I do, because you have a mirror copy of the site (just
in case!).

PS - I need to find a download of Netscape 3. Any suggestions?

Subject: Updating a site

Tangentally (if that's a word) related:

My wife wants to learn HTML and begin maintaining her own (2 page) web site
which I set up for her a few months ago, and do maybe one or two minor edits
a week. This is all well and good.

Then she asks how I keep track of files, and how to organize them. That's a
little more complex. I have a directory labelled WEB SITES on my hard disk.
Under that is a folder for each of the sites I maintain/author. Under each
of those folders is the html code for that site, which may or may not
include a directory structure identical to that on the server.

Is this reasonable? The wife says it sounds kind of cumbersome. How do you
folks do it?
