Take a look at my website at www.assumptionabbey.com, you will see the
menubar on the left and the page on the right. Actually you are looking at
three separate HTML pages. The one on the left is the menu page, right click
on it, then click on View Source, and you ought to see the HTML code for
that page. The one on the right is the text page, and if you right click on
it, and then select View Source, you ought to see the code for that page.
Then if you go to the top of the browser, click VIEW> Source, you ought to
see the "frameset page" which calls the other two and arranges them
according to its specifications. If your browser is not capable of viewing
frames, you should be able to see (on your browser) a page of menu options
that I have created to 1) assist people who cannot view frames; and 2) to
guide search engines to the site content.

If you are using WebTV, then it will all look like a single page such as you
are already using.

The content of either frame may be changed by how the links are set to
operate. Needless to say the coding for this can be quite complicated, but
is as easy as sitting in a chair if you have a good HTML editor.
