Frontpage form submissions rely on your server/host server having frontpage
extensions installed and fully functional. Many hosts can support frontpage
sites, but fewer support the extensions (free host NBCi formerly xoom.com
for example). Another feature that is only supported on a site with
frontpage extensions is the hit counter (which few people use these days--
but it's an excellent test to see if you have the frontpage extensions
installed) . You must also customize the form for the email address you'd
like the submissions to go to. The help files should be able to help you.
I'd suggest that before you spend too long banging your head against a wall,
that you contact your host and ask if you frontpage extensions are installed
on the site. Explain that you are having difficulty processing a Frontpage
form and see if they'll provide support. If they don't have extensions,
they should be able to offer you another form of procession, often Perl
based. Many hosting services have a "frequently asked questions" section
which includes information on form processing. This could also help you find
the answers you're looking for.

I'm trying to help a friend whose having a problem with a form submission
which was created using Frontpage. When you click on submit it fails to send
the email and instead creates a 404 error. Any ideas?
