Validation Problem

I was attempting to validate a html file using:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
        "http://www.w3.org/TR/html40/loose.dtd">

and received the following message for this line:
<table border="2" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="2" align="center" width="300"
bgcolor="#ffffff" bordercolor="#cf3060">

 Error: there is no attribute "BORDERCOLOR" for this element (in this HTML
version)

Is there another attribute that I can use so that it validates.  Thanks.
