Matt,
A few things could be the problem:
1. The ISP hosting the site could be having problems.
2. The account for your client has not been properly setup.
3. Your files could have been FTP'ed to the wrong directory of the account.
4. Forgive me for this question as I don't know just how new you are at
this, but did you name the home page correctly. Most ISP's setup their
webservers to key on a specific filename for any url (address) it receives.
Most ISP's key on the names: index.html, index.htm, or both. So, for
example, when some goes to the address www.wyvernhotel.co.uk, and the ISP is
like most ISP's, they are really being taken to
www.wyvernhotel.co.uk/index.htm or www.wyvernhotel.co.uk/index.html (unless
you have a redirect, but that's another story). If the directory doesn't
contain that filename, you will get the message you are seeing. This is done
for security reasons, otherwise the user would get a listing of all the
files in your account and would be able to 'poke' around. This way they see
only what you want them to.
