Non-Professional Web Designers Needed for Research Study Researchers on the Web Tango Project at the University of Washington(http://webtango.ischool.washington.edu) are conducting a study to better understand web site design processes. We are looking for non-professional Web designers in the Puget Sound area to participate in this study. The study consists of: (1) an online screening survey [20 minutes] (2) a skills assessment survey and interview.[2 hours] at UW (3) a multi-day design session at UW, in which designers create simple web sites We are seeking persons for whom designing Web sites is not their primary occupation. You may create Web sites as a hobby, as a volunteer for an organization or school, or you may be currently attending or have recently completed a Web design or production training program. This study is not a test of your skills. Your participation will help us gain valuable insights into how to better support occasional Web designers in their design efforts. If you are interested in participating in the study and can commit to completing all three stages (if selected), then we invite you to fill-out the Web Designer Training Survey, at http://webtango.ischool.washington.edu/WebDesignTrainingSurvey/vaddr.htm . You will receive a $5 Amazon.com gift certificate for completing the survey. Please remember that we cannot guarantee the confidentiality of any information sent by e-mail or other electronic formats. If you know of someone else who might fit the study criteria, please pass this invitation along. Thanks so much for your help!
