Well, I'm not Fuzzy, but what I learnt about ASCII vs Binary is:
Anything that's just text: ASCII (e.g. JS, HTML, ASP, PHP, Perl, CSS)
Anything else: Binary (e.g. GIF, JPG, PDF, ZIP, SWF, WAV, MP3, MIDI)
