AOL - IE Browser Conflict

Morning Gang:

I received a message from a client asking for my input on a problem their
staff are having running the installed IE4 browser on their Windows 98 O/S
while using their AOL account.

Ordinarily, they navigate with the AOL "bow-wowser" but lately have started
wanting to use the IE browser and have discovered that when it is started
the message "Navigation Cancelled" appears and the browser won't function.
Any ideas?

Does anyone know if AOL is such a proprietary service that the IE4 browser
can't be used on AOL?
