if you see it in your browser, it's on your hard drive...:). There's lots
in the archives about this...it doesn't work, but it does present an
inconvenience because the user loses all the functionality associated with
that popup menu.

I already sent this on via direct e-mail to the originator of this query,
but since this seems such an effective way of preventing image theft, I
thought I'd see if any of you folks in list-land know how it is done and if
it is as effective as it seems.
The technique is a pop-up alert when the viewer attempts to right-click an
image. The alert also prevents the "view source" function from operating.
Together it seems that this effectively stops at least the casual thief.
