Subject: getting back to the root directory
I am trying to put together some files that can be used in a number of
locations i.e a web site, CD ROM and a hard drive. I am finding it easy
enough to make links from the root to a file in a folder but what is the
best way to get back to a file in the root from a file in a folder. For
the web site I am using the full reference (starting http) to go back
to a file, for the CD ROM I am using d:\file.htm and for the hard drive
C:\file.htm. Therefore I have to change all the links depending on where
I am storing the files. Is there a more efficient way of doing things?
