Coming spec for HTML is the W3C XHTML Recommendation (w3.org)

The XHTML Rec says lower case.

In the HTML class I am teaching (& learning) would it be best to teach my
students to use upper case letters <HTML> or lower case <html> on their
tags?  I can see that when reading the code it is easier to spot the tags in
upper case.....
