How long will you continue to use NN 4.x? Forever? When is it
acceptable to say goodbye?
<<<<

My rule is when it falls below 5 percent. Our main site is not 5.85
percent Netscape 4.X for the period from Sunday through today
(Thursday).

However, I really don't see that we will make any significant changes
just because it falls below my self defined 5 percent value.

Another reason is that another major site for the area, and is probably
a better read, shows Netscape at 18.34 percent for December. However,
part of that is that one major department runs Netscape, and no MSIE,
while the rest of the organization runs nothing but MSIE, no Netscape.

I think these folks have a good point to make:

I look forward to joining them when it is feasible and the Version 6
browsers are less buggy (however they seem to work fine on my computer).
<<<<

I also am not having many problems with the newer browsers. I run MSIE
5.0, MSIE 5.5, MSIE 6.0, Netscape 6.1 (Windows), Mozilla 0.9.6 (Linux)
and Galeon ( a browser with lightweight chrome around the Gecko
rendering engine from Mozilla).

However, the thing I really like it the site and how it degrades. I
clicked off style sheet support and JavaScript support and while the
site looks like something from 1996, it still works, AND that is the
most important thing.

What I mean by works is that the data in the site (well, at least the
page in question) is still accessible.
