First of all I'd like to thank everybody who replied to my plee about page transitions (my companies network was down yesterday - otherwise I would have replied sooner !).

Now I have a good one....

When entering my site it will prompt to either wait a couple of seconds for the full framed/script version or they can press a link for the simple version. The simple version simply jumps a couple of pages, ignoring all the initial frame set-ups, etc. 

Okay, my problem is with the sites help screen. I need to give different instructions depending on which method they entered the site with. My scripting knowledge is basic but I've worked out I can use location.href to tell me the address (and that will tell me their route). So, I will need to use script to check if they came in the "advanced route" - if so display that text. Otherwise, display the alternative (this will need to be outside of the former script because if they're using the simple version they might not support scripting). Have I lost you yet ?

This leaves me with a problem... the script that runs the "advanced" help - I know how to use script to load another page but can I re-direct it to a particular frame, as I need to do ? If not, can anybody think of an alternative way to do this ?

Oh, and off track I know, if you any of you need some graphic design work doing I would whole-heartily recommend you look at http://www.twins.proweb.co.uk. One of the people who runs it is a friend of mine and his graphic design work is spot on.
