Still Needing Help

Hello List,

This is a bit off-topic, but the problem did originate with a URL that was
passed along in the list...<ducking>...I mentioned this in my previous post
yesterday.

I am perplexed. I was visiting a web site that offers javascripts, and
clicked on one to try it out. It was supposed to resize and re-locate the
active window, which it did. It changed IE's maximized window into a
smaller window that was centered on my screen. When I clicked the
"maximize" button to expand IE, it did expand, but was offset on the screen
about 3 inches to the right, and 3 inches down. I cannot get it to run
maximized without this annoying offset. The offset removes the "minimize",
"maximize", and "close" buttons from view. And, I can't drag it with the
title bar.

I have searched through my drives, looking for a file with yesterday's
date. I have looked at .inf and .ini files until my eyes hurt. I even
looked in the registry, but I could not find the traditional notations that
Windows used to use for window location. I searched the IE directory, the
Windows and Windows\System directories...to no avail. I even went to
Microsoft's Update site, and installed version 5.5. (I was using 5.0) That
didn't help either. I have also emailed the author of the script, but have
not heard anything back from him. So, I'm stumped, and screaming for help.

Any of you OS gurus out there have any suggestions?

Thank you,

Mike
