Hi FrontPage Gurus:

I have a client that has a web host that to me isn't setting thing 
correctly. Before I shoot myself in the foot and demonstrate my 
ignorance, I thought I'd ask the pros here on this list.

My client wants to update her site using FrontPage 2000. Her web 
host has the extensions installed. She also has files she wants 
visitors to be able to download, and she has a form that she is 
running through an SSL connection. The server is a unix and has a 
.htaccess file in the main directory.

The client set this up, now I've been asked to make it work...hum, 
sound familiar?

So, here is the problem. FrontPage worked great. She published 
the web to her server. But, when a visitor tries to download the free 
files, you get a pop-up box asking for the username and Password. 

I thought that it was the .htaccess file getting in the way, so the 
web host guy deleted it. Now the files download great, but she 
can't access her web server through FrontPage anymore.

Seems FrontPage liked the .htaccess file. Is there a solution to 
this dilemma or is it a case of having one but not the other?

BTW: www.picpalm.com is the web site. Please, no comments on 
the design. It is her first attempt and her husband thinks it's swell.
(For a first attempt, she did pretty good ;-))
