If you want to learn programming, I would suggest you begin with Perl, but 
you might want to look into PHP as well. You can find out what you need to 
know about PHP, including the download of a manual for it (free) at 
http://www.php.net/. Use of this language is growing by leaps and 
bounds--read the info on it at the site and you'll know why I recommend 
that you look into it.
