Since when aren't you looking for an argument?
Seriously, the URI, or the NN *acceptable* URI is a decision that the
developer needs to make depending on audience and any other extenuating
circumstances. NS 6 is new, but its disregard for the 4.01 Trans DTD has
been noted by several people on several lists. It comes down to whether or
not you want to make the pages render in a certain way in NS 6.0.
If that's important in a situation, then the URI must be deleted and/or
amended to support that browser. No, it's not right, by golly, Netscape
/said/ they were going to support W3C recommendations and this is a case
where it is not happening.
And, I don't think Netscape is the only browser out there that plays by its
own rules. So, we have one more thing to consider when deciding how we want
our pages to display.
