Beth,

If you're using a PC, just click Alt and F4 at the same time and it will
close the single screen without closing the others.  Sounds like you may be
getting hit through a back door with some type of advertising program.  I
know of at least one way that I could do something similar myself if I only
knew your IP address, and it is perfectly legal (uses Microsoft Messenger).
If you were to install some type of firewall, it would probably stop it
completely.
