I've been asked to bid on an e-commerce site.

My host provider makes the 'Miva Merchant'
available to me. 

This package looks good, customizable and secure.
Largely Web based menu driven data entry.

The client would like to start with 100 items as first
phase.

My question - In figuring the cost to develop this site,
will it take much longer to develop than a non-e-commerce site?

What kind of problems have any of you run into with your first
e-commerce site?

As I read this post - I think - I must sound like an idiot.
Better to sound that way to all of you than a potential client . . .

Any advice would be welcomed.
