Email Address Grabbing?by "Steven Milne" <steven(at)scotweb.com> |
|
We have a client looking to automatically extract the email addresses from a pile of old form-to-email information requests through his site. The difficulty being that the email addresses are held in the body of each email, not as the sender. He used Outlook Express and would like some software to rip out these email addresses to get in touch with the users of his form with an offer of an email newsletter. Before the anti-Spam police jump on me, a provision was made in the original forms that use of the form gave us permission to contact them with special offers etc... and the majority are existing/old customers. Does anyone know of a simple way, shareware style, to extract these addresses? Or, does anyone know of a way of getting the whole text of a folder in Outlook Express converted to a text file or database that I cun run a script against to pull out anything that looks like an email address?... Does VBA work with OutlookExpress?... maybe thats a route?. tiafaa Steven Milne
