<snip> "Overhead is often a key element in a business' demise. Thus, keeping overhead low is a key to both the ability to adapt and to flexibility." </snip> I agree that money... whether it be overhead, start-up, no rainy day funds, no advertising funds, etc. is a problem that force businesses to close. Other things (not in any particular order) are a) lone ranger mentality (even though they know that they have a successful coach in their group who provides discounts to group members!) b) you don't love what you're doing (when you do love what you're doing... it keeps you going in those down times) c) no business plan, ideal client or other things that help keep a business owner focused. d) wishful thinking e) not wanting to spend money to make money (want everything for free or buy cheap "help") f) not marking a bit on line... or not marketing some off line. g) not networking or thinking that people should just come to their product because it's so good. h) not being consistent with their product i)forgetting to ask clients for their opinions/assistance. j) customer service - or lack thereof > What can you add to the list above? > > Maria Marsala > www.CoachMaria.com > Business and Life Coach > > > >
