Oh, goodness gracious, don't give in to that extortion.

$9.99 domains, *many* TLDs, $8.99 transfers that include a year's renewal.
They transfer .info names.  You only pay for the transfer if it was a
success.  We've had a few that get bounced and we always get a credit
without a problem.

Not only that, but you get a lot of control over your domain record,
including the advanced settings like MX, C Name, and others that are hard to
find at other registrars.
