1. I agree with Pamela - 50% off of what. You should have it geared
around telling the user what they have to do and what they get. For
example - "Take our online survey and receive 50% off the purchase of
this great eBook!"

2. When the popup appears, you have the identical graphic as the header.
This applies confusion - do I click it?

3. If I am taking a survey to get 50% off, why do I have to do all this
reading? If you want people to take it vs. closing the popup, get right
to the survey.

4. The synopsis should be available on the actual product page
(http://www.itza.ca/men). Also maybe a couple example pages. Look at
Amazon.com - almost every book has some form of example copy. When you
go to a bookstore to buy a book? Do you flip through it, or just grab
it and head to the checkout?

5. I understand that you are looking for some pricing ideas on the book.
"Based upon what I have learned" the book should be free... Reason: I
haven't learned anything other than a hyped up table of contents. This
applies to the cards as well. I don't know what I am getting? Give
more detail (not before the survey, but on the product page) about the
products.

6. The greeting card product - Will I be able to have it mailed to
someone? Or do I order it from you wait for my easy folding sheet and
then mail it to whomever? This will reduce your impulse buyers out
there? Make it quick - from idea -> order -> delivery. I type in what
I want it to say, while the chuckle is still there, I type in where I
want it to go, give you my CC info, and whalla - it's sent! This is not
only a convience to the visitor but will also provide you with a list of
people that others think would be interested in your product ;)

7. Virtual greeting cards - They are free! Leave them that way!
Reasons:
    a. offers value to the visitor, and brings them back to do it again.
    b. provides increased visibility to your target audience (they get
your link in their email! FROM A FRIEND! - This is important)
    c. Company credibility - If all you are after is money, it will
show!

8. Overall the strategy doesn't seem as though it was thought out
completely. Don't offer 50% off of something that you don't sell
(currently) For now - offer something free like having a greeting card
sent for filling it out or something along those lines. 50% off of a
product I know nothing about is meaningless to me... Give me something
tangable for my efforts, and you will get my efforts!

9. The survey is for your purposes - make it available to be sent
annoymously! Clearly state that it is annoymous at the top. You will
get much more realistic answers... At the bottom have a section that
says: "If you would like to be notified when this book is available

Hello All!

This is the first time I've worked with another developer on a client's
site and the first one with on line purchasing. The site is now live but

not yet being promoted.

At the last minute the client asked for an on line survey and one was
thrown together but I wonder how people will react to it.
www.itza.ca/men/index_f.html click on "click to get 50% off".

Any and all comments welcome, particularly the negative ones. I find
that
the good things tend to look after themselves while the bad ones always
need help.

thanks
Steve
