Questions on the W3C validator, can you point me in the right dir ection?

This list probably isn't the place to ask (and if its not can someone point
me in the right direction?) this but:

Will the validator even work on an ASP site?

If so...

What does the USER_AGENT of the validator show up as?  My pages are in ASP
and are dynamically generated based on user agent, does the validator show
up as a specific user agent  (My site only ends up being HTML 4.0 compliant
if you are using IE5 and nothing else, but if I know the user agent of the
validator and can add that to the HTML 4.0 list as well)?
