You could take a look at JASC Paintshop Pro.
http://www.jasc.com/products/psp/  It's $99 if you download, or $109 if
you purchase it at a store (I know retail stores such as Best Buy have
this).  I use Photoshop myself, but PSP seems to be decent and it has
much of the functionality of Photoshop as well.

Hello,

I am new to the list & am taking my first Class from HWG.  I am taking
the
first HTML class, I already know some HTML, but everything has been self
taught & I wanted to fill any gaps in my HTML knowledge.

Anyway My question is on Graphic Software.  I already have MGI
PhotoSuite
8.1, it came with my new computer.  I also have Microsoft Picture it
(V6.0.829.0)  But first of all I am not skilled with Graphics, but
neither
program impresses me.

I am planning on purchasing another Graphics program, of course I have
thought of Adobe Photo Shop, but wonder if it is truly worth the Price.
Is
there other programs out there that are as good without the $600+ price
tag.
I don't mind spending the money, I just wonder about other programs?
Like
Paint Shop Pro, or other graphic programs?

I'd like to know your thoughts & suggestions.  Also what you like or
dislike
about various programs.

My final goal someday is to get into & have my own web design company.
Lofty I know, but everyone needs a dream :)
