Problem converting Word images into Photoshop.by "Mike Taylor" <lonewolf(at)one.net> |
|
This is a perplexing one for me: I've received a Word document. In this Word document are several images that have been embedded/inserted. The actual graphics files themselves have been destroyed or lost, so all I have to help this person out with is what was saved in the Word document. I figured I could simply copy and paste these images from Word into PhotoShop, but when I do so, the images come out terrible, almost as if much of their rich colors have been stripped away, giving them a grainy look. My next idea was to open the Word document, center the image on my screen, then do a screen shot, paste the screenshot into PhotoShop, copy the image inside the screenshot, then paste that image back in PhotoShop. The result is a much richer and true rendering of the original graphic. However, I was told that this will produce poor print outs because the screen capture option only captures images at 72 DPI. If that's true, does anyone know of a better way to retrieve the images embedded in a word document and save them as close to their original resolution as possible? Thanks, Mike
