Animation software

I am looking for some not-so-complicated 3-D animation software. I have =
created animated gif's before, by hand, using Ulead's Gif Animator, but =
I'm looking for a tool that I can use to define an object and add =
animation features like rotation, etc to those objects.  Example, =
designing a coin and then adding a spin animation to it. =20

What are people's recommendations?
