PhotoShop - Save for Web

Thanks for all of your help on the resolution problem, I've got it all
figured, so now on to a new question.  I've noticed that the "Save for web"
feature is sometimes grayed out on the file menu.  What causes this?  Also,
on another machine the feature never seems to be available.  Does this
feature require the installation of ImageReady (IR is installed on the first
machine, but not on the second)?
