Do you want to design a next-generation totally metadata-driven database
architecture that works with a patent-pending dynamic object system? Are
you an experienced SQL Server 7 database architect who has modeled and
implemented scalable database architectures for the web? Do you want to
implement XML-based systems? Have you encountered and solved problems with 
deadlocks, concurrency, and optimization in high-volume Internet systems?
We need you!

We are looking for a person with 5+ year's experience with relational
database design, implementation, and tuning, with the last 2 years working
exclusively with SQL Server. A minimum of two year's experience developing
and optimizing stored procedures in SQL Server is necessary. Experience
with highly scalable, high-volume, commercial Internet systems is required.
Your challenge will be to model and implement a database architecture where
hundreds of individual databases can run on a single machine, upgrades to
the databases and to the software system will be made for thousands of users
across many n-tier machines, and where automated procedures guarantee
success and profitability of the company.

Expert-level knowledge with SQL Server 7 database architecture and
performance tuning (including concurrency and deadlock issues) is required.
Extensive experience with Dynamic SQL and a working knowledge of FTS is
required. Experience in connection pooling, ADO, Natural Query, and network
client library familiarity (TDS) a plus.

We are using an n-tier approach with ASP/XML/XSL in the presentation layer,
VB/VC++/COM/DCOM/MTS in the business objects layer, and SQL Server 7 in the 
data layer. XML/XSL is used to communicate between the presentation layer
and the business objects layer.

Are you a seasoned SQL Server 7 Transact SQL developer for Internet-based
systems? Have you developed and optimized stored procedures using Dynamic
SQL? Do you have extensive knowledge of error-handling in stored procedures?
Have you written scripts to automate database administration tasks? Do you
want database experience with highly scalable commercial Internet systems
and databases? If you answered "Yes" to these questions, then you have the
opportunity to work on a next-generation metadata-driven database system for
the Internet!

We are looking for a person with 2 years' SQL Server stored procedure
development experience. Knowledge of performance and concurrency issues at
the stored procedure level is required, and knowledge at the system level is
desired. Extensive experience with script development is required.
Experience with administration tasks such as backup and recovery is a

Object Layer Architect

COM/MTS/VC++ Object Layer Developer

TouchScape is revolutionizing applications service provider software with a
patent pending dynamic object system. Would you like your name on a patent
that changes the way applications are engineered and delivered on the
Internet?

We need COM/MTS expertise with VC++ developing business objects.
Individuals must have 5 year's OO development experience, a strong
object-oriented background, and have programmed in Visual C++ for 5 years.
Experience with highly scalable Internet systems, metadata driven
architectures, and free-threaded programming would be ideal. Experience with
formal software engineering methods makes you indispensable!
Individuals need a minimum of 18 months COM/COM+/DCOM experience using MTS, 
and a knowledge of security issues. A strong knowledge of XSL, and XML is 
preferred, and Visual Basic scripting is greatly desired. Experience with
SQL Server 7, SQL Syntax, and Stored Procedure development is necessary.
Experience with distributed objects or distributed software architectures a
plus.
