Web Editor

Marlborough School seeks a part-time (approximately 10-15 hours per week) 
Web Editor to oversee and maintain the School's website copy and 
images.  The Editor will assist School personnel in maintaining their 
website presences and strive to position the website as a vital means of 
communicating and marketing the School.  The position necessitates 
coordination with the entire range of constituencies, including faculty, 
staff, students, parents, alumnae and friends of the School.  The Web 
Editor will report to the Head of Technology.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will:
Exhibit strong proof-reading, editing, and organizational skills.
Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and flexibility.
Be focused on the School's various constituencies.
Meet quick turn-around deadlines with clear, concise and accurate copy.
Possess some knowledge of and facility with web-content management tools.

Responsibilities:

The Web Editor will:
Edit website copy in a manner consistent with the School's institutional 
voice and style.
Maintain clarity and grammatical consistency throughout the website.
Respond in a timely manner to correct any errors on website pages, ensure 
the functionality of pages and links, and work with the Head of Technology 
to ensure that School personnel are apprised of their responsibilities in 
maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the website.
Ensure that time-sensitive areas of the website are kept fresh and 
interesting for returning site visitors.


Salary:  Negotiable, depending upon education and experience.
