sounds like maybe the scripts share some global variables so one is
overriding the other

Happy Friday everyone!

I'm having some trouble understanding how to have two javascript actions
occur in one window/webpage. I'm VERY new to javascript. I'm working with
script taken (legally) from www.dynamicdrive.com and am teaching myself to
use and customize such code.

The following is the info you'll need to try and help me out, if you can...

On: www.urban-union.com/samplehome.htm I have just one javascript which is a
horizontal drop down menu. This one uses 2 .js files which are in my
directory. It runs just fine on this "homepage" (please note, I'm in
development stages and this is a draft/many links don't work yet, etc)

On: www.urban-union.com/AboutUU.htm I have the SAME exact menu javascript
AND a fading news scroller lower down on the page. Only the scroller is
working. When the scroller is removed, the menu works (as seen on the
samplehome.htm).

I read on the dynamicdrive FAQ all about what to do to make more than one
script work on a page together, but as I'm so new at this, I don't
UNDERSTAND what to do. Also, I think that the changes may have to be done in
one of the .js files and not in the source code itself... Maybe I'm wrong. I
won't attach the .js files at this time but if they are needed, let me know.
