Are you sure that you've got register_globals turned on in your 
php.ini file?  If not, then you'll have to use $_POST['submit'] and 
similarly for your other variables.  Note, $_POST[] was introduced in 
PHP 4.1.0, use $HTTP_POST_VARS[] for earlier versions.
