Secure webserver

Hi,
can somebody tell if apache 2.0 is a good webserver for hosting 
ecommerce sites, I have been using apache 1.3.x server with 
mod_ssl and it work find but I was wondering if I should upgrade to 
2.0.

If I should upgrade is there an installation guide for PHP, Mod_ssl, 
MySQL and Apache 2.0.
